Connacht Single Malt Spirit of the Atlantic
Connacht Single Malt Batch 1 received multiple awards since launch in 2021, including gold medals from the Irish Whiskey Awards, New York International Spirits Competition, a double gold from the San Francisco World Spirits Awards and a Best in Class from the American Distilling Institute.
Working with our distillers and master blender, we’re evolving this whiskey from the 4 year old ‘Batch 1’ to the 5 year old ‘Spirit of the Atlantic’ at a revised ABV of 44.8%. We believe that this represents our core style and the more accessible ABV will further endear it to whiskey lovers and the whiskey curious.

the connacht distillery is pleased to be part of the ballina community and welcomes visitors to the distillery. our gift shop is open from 12pm – 5pm Monday to Friday.
in the distillery’s mullarkey bar guests can sample our whiskey, gin, poitín, and vodka. a unique blend of old and new, the comfortable room overlooks the gentle flow of the river moy.

Introducing connacht single malt no malarkey!
this is a special labelling of our batch 1 whiskey to celebrate the visit of president joe biden to his ancestral home of ballina, also home to the connacht distillery. given the deep connections of our founders to both the united states and pennsylvania, this is a special day for both the town of ballina and for connacht distillery.
the limited release labelling features joe biden’s ‘no malarkey!’ catchphrase and the date of his visit to our hometown, it’s a genuine collector’s item to honour the 46th president of the usa.
